Barry Crawford Flute

Flutist, Barry J. Crawford is a member of the Jupiter Symphony Chamber Players, Talea Ensemble, Poetica Musica, Ensemble Meme, Ensemble Pi, and is principal flute of the Strathmere Festival Orchestra in NYC, and the Slee Sinfonietta in Buffalo, NY.

Mr. Crawford has performed and given master classes in over 20 countries. He has performed in numerous internationally recognized music festivals, such as Mostly Mozart, the Lincoln Center Festival, June in Buffalo, the Spoleto Festival in Spoleto, Italy, the Pablo Casals Festival, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, the Bergen Festival in Norway, the International Music Festival in Istanbul, Turkey, as well as festivals in Poland, Czech Republic, Tunisia, Denmark, Jamaica, Guyana, Tajikistan & Azerbaijan. Mr. Crawford has been a guest soloist in many of the most important concert halls in the United States, including, Boston Symphony Hall, Kimmel Center in Philadelphia, Davies Symphony Hall in San Francisco, and the Symphony Center in Chicago. He has been featured on the McGraw-Hill Young Artist’s Showcase on WQXR both as a soloist and chamber player, as well as several television commercials, film soundtracks, pop music recordings and Broadway productions, and has performed as a soloist for Lincoln Center’s Great Performers series. Mr. Crawford is currently on faculty at the University at Buffalo (SUNY), and is part of the performing/coaching staff at the Composers Conference at Wellesley College. He has recorded for Albany and Decca Records.
