Carol Archer

Contemporary Performance Institute Assistant Director

Carol Archer was the organizing force behind “A Great Day in New York,” the 2001 festival created by Fred Sherry, which featured 52 living composers in 9 concerts at Merkin Hall and Lincoln Center. Since then she has continued her work with Fred as contractor for recording sessions with Robert Craft and as producer of concerts at the Guggenheim Museum, MOMA, Miller Theater at Columbia University, Prada Soho, Zankel Hall, and others. In the 1980s and ’90s she performed as a pianist.
