MICHELLE LOU

Michelle Lou received degrees in double bass performance and composition from UC San Diego and Stanford University. She has taught at Dartmouth College, UC  Santa Cruz and is currently Assistant Professor in Composition and Music Technology at UC San Diego. Her work is primarily electro-acoustic, often utilizing hardware electronics, transducers, and acoustic feedback as performative elements. She has also created large scale sound installations and performs and improvises on acoustic and electric bass, electric guitar, and on laptop and various electronics.
