8 for 80 COMMISSIONS

To celebrate our 80th Anniversary, the Composers Conference has asked 8 former Composer Fellows and Guest Composers to each composer a four-minute composition for our Conference Ensemble, conducted by MD Vimbayi Kaziboni.

Support and celebrate 80 years of new music making in community by contributing to any (or all!) of these new works by these exceptional artists. This crowdsourced project allows you to give as little as $25, or become the Lead Commissioner for $4000. Each commissioned work has been generously donated by the composers, allowing for donations to go towards supporting and expanding our newly developed Conference projects, such as our CMW Commissioned Work, the New Music/New Communities Initiative and our New Music Conductor Fellowship.

These 8 new works will be premiered during our day-long 80th Anniversary Celebration at Avaloch Farm Music Institute on August 4, 2024. Reserve your place now to be a part of this magnificent event!
