Thanks to everyone who joined US as we Created Community Through Music, and celebrated our 80th anniversary on August 4, 2024!
New music is a space where everyone has a voice and anyone can belong! Our 80th anniversary brought alive new works created for and premiered by our Conference Ensemble and Chamber Music Workshop Musicians, conducted by Music Director Vimbayi Kaziboni. Our Gala Concert took place at Avaloch Farm Music Institute, featuring World Premieres by Chen Yi, Gleb Kanasevich, Shulamit Ran, Bahar Royaee, David Sanford, Augusta Read Thomas, Melinda Wagner, and Han Xu.
The 2024 Composers Conference 80th Anniversary was supported by The Amphion Foundation, the Aaron Copland Fund, the Alice M.
