Eight four-minute compositions by former Composer Fellows and Guest Composers, funded through crowdsourcing by donors and new music advocates, will be premiered on August 4, 2024, by the Conference Ensemble, conducted by MD Vimbayi Kaziboni. Be a “part of the crowd” that supports new music made by these superb composers. You can give as little as $25, or become the Lead Commissioner for $4000. Commissioned composers include: Gleb Kanasevich, Shulamit Ran, Bahar Royaee, Augusta Read Thomas, David Sanford, Melinda Wagner, Han Xu, & Chen Yi.

The Composers Conference will celebrate its 80th Anniversary on August 4, 2024 at beautiful Avaloch Farm Music Institute. The day will include performances by the Conference Ensemble under the direction of MD & conductor Vimbayi Kaziboni, as they premiere 8 new works commissioned for this event. There will be performances of the Commissions for Community Challenge by the CMW participants, and an evening dinner for guests who have reserved a seat. Dinner seating limited to 60.

Purchase an hour long lesson or chamber music coaching with one of our Conference musicians. Lessons/coachings will be scheduled at the availability of both parties, and will take place either in-person or over ZOOM. Please be advised that only a single lesson/coachings is available for each musician; once a lesson/coaching is purchased for a specific musician, there will be no further availability.

53 new one-minute pieces will be premiered over the Spring & Summer 2024 by members our Chamber Music Workshop and various musicians from throughout the country! These new compositions will be created by our former Composer Fellows. These commissions seek to nurture new music advocacy through the commissioning and performance of new works for all levels of performers.
